Class Time: 9:00 - 4:00
Class Objective: To provide participants with a deep understanding of each Prong across the city as well as their roles, responsibilities, and expectations as Prong Liaison.
Class Description: Participants will receive an overview of each Prong, learn what services are provided in each prong, and discover what the plan is for each prong liaison. Participants will have the opportunity to spend a large part of the day with their Prong Liaison Director and colleague liaisons to build relationships and understandings. Participants will discover, explore and discuss their hopes and fears around the work they will be doing using 21st Century collaborative tools and face-to-face communication.
Practical Application: Participants will use and apply the information learned to inform their work across the year.

In order for true integration of instructional technology to be successful, the principal and other school leaders need the appropriate tools and resources to support their teachers and students in the effective uses of technology.

1:20 - iTeach- Direct Support to Teachers (Coordinator: Winnie Bracco)
OIT develops technology infused curriculum to support K-12 schools in the content areas of math, literacy, social studies and science. The iTeach initiative provides teachers with the skills, ability and understanding to fully integrate technology into their curriculum. Teachers will receive quality hands-on professional development for maximum technology integration.

OIT develops a comprehensive instructional site to support coaches, instructional leaders, classroom teachers and students in sharing lessons, units, and resources that exemplify best practices, result in deeper content understandings, and equip students with 21st century information literacy, Web 2.0, critical thinking, problem solving, and technology skills . iSite will also provide tools and resources for online communication, collaboration, and professional development.
